The DAB2140 has an SSI2140 pre-soldered along with two decoupling caps in an optimal position and some presoldered headers for plug and play action (once you've laid out the rest of your circuit). This means that this cutting edge update to a classic synth chip can be used on breadboard, stripboard, veroboard or your own PCB's.
